I just think we are not aggressive to the music and the industry. Everywhere you look, you see D’banj or Tuface doing something; they are always doing collabos, making sure that they are everywhere. I think we need to do that more? I think we would be more recognized like the men in the industry if we are more aggressive towards it. Most of the females are just too laid back.

SO WHAT’CHA GOT? I am bringing African Hip Hop, originality, something fresh, something clean, something enjoyable and something that will definitely last long.

ROLE MODELS? My mum is a major inspiration (awwwwwwwwwwww) she is hard working and I guess I picked that up from her. As far as music goes, Lauryn Hill, Shaka khan, kanye West… I basically like the kind of people that have something to say and have a kind of impact. I guess that’s how I want to be remembered as well. As for the Nigerian Industry… um… ASA; she is like another Lauryn Hill to me, Ayuba, Naeto C, Wande Coal- he’s like the Micheal Jackson of Nigeria.

ANY DAY JOBS? I am a licensed cosmetologist that means Hair, skin and make up. I have my own shoe line coming up which is Nigerian/ African fabric like Ankara on the shoe- creating a unique classy style for a woman to be able to wear anywhere. I also choreographed for several years, so I do a lot of dancing.

MAKE UP HUH? I BET YOUR GUY DIDN’T STAND A CHANCE (Laughs) I am currently single. NOOOOOO! YOU DON’T SAY… REALLY? I am really trying to just focus on my goals; so for now its music and business. THE MUSIC INDUSTRY IN NIGERIA…ANY THOUGHTS? A lot of things I see now definitely weren’t there a few years ago. It’s definitely improving. Most of the music videos are like WOW. The quality is very high standard and kind of equivalent to those of the U.S. NOW…

YOU’VE LIVED IN THE U.S ALL YOUR LIFE RIGHT? HOW DO YOU THINK THEY ARE EMBRACING OUR MUSIC? They are embracing it very well actually. I mean I would be at a regular club and hear Tuface’s African Queen. Tuface has also done a lot of collabos with a few international artises like R’Kelly, Wyclef and so that means we are definitely getting recognized. I really appreciate him for showing that we Africans are able to do music as well as they can. The U.S is definitely paying attention to our music. I mean, D’banj performed with Kelly Rowland and I thought that that was really cool.

GOT ANY SINGLES ON AIR? I got one single titled MY BABY, which was produced by MIKE TUNZ, a couple of Nigerian producers based in New York. It’s really just a fun filled song and it’s a kind of song that both guys and girls can relate to. I also have another song titled ADDICTION. It is something creative, about being addicted to someone. I also have another song I did with YES recording artiste; STEEL titled NAIJA MONEY. It’s a remake of Arab money by Busta Rhymes. A lot of people have been loving it. I performed it at the Green White Green carnival and people loved it. I have a lot of stuffs coming out and that’s how I want it to be. VIDEOS? I am currently working on one. I am going to shoot one for NAIJA MONEY and then pick another before the album will finally be released… hopefully in September. That’s when we will do the full blown promotion. Right now, I just want people to know I am here.

She is the reason I am currently in Nigeria I have been abroad for about twenty something years but she shuttles back and forth. She loves this place so much. She has friends here but I don’t have any and I was born here.’ When asked about her concerns and fears for her daughter, she says ‘I have no fear. COPS PAY ANOTHER HOUSE CALL TO MICHEAL JACKSON'S DOCTOR

With their manslaughter case in full gear and with toxicology tests due any day now, investigators paid a house call this morning to Michael Jackson's personal doctor.
Several uniformed police officers, along with agents from the Drug Enforcement Agency, entered the gated Red Rock Country Club, site of Dr. Conrad Murray's Las Vegas home, to execute yet another search warrant. At the same time, a separate batch of cops made their way over to Murray's Vegas offices, ostensibly for the same purpose.
While DEA Assistant Special Agent Mike Flanagan would not disclose specific details of the sealed search warrant, he said officials were "looking for a lot of things," including documents and computer records.
It's unclear whether the doctor was present at the time, though if so, he apparently didn't feel up to making an appearance for the growing number of news choppers overhead. Radar Online reported that Murray's home has been under surveillance by cops for the past 48 hours.
The visits come just one day after word broke that the cardiologist administered what investigators believe was a fatal dose of propofol to the King of Pop and a week after a DEA-assisted raid on Murray's Houston clinic and storage unit.

The latest centers around the duet he claimed to have done with American RnB star, R. Kelly.The song in question is titled ‘FLEX’. According to him, in a recent interview, the deal was brokered by Toyin Subair, boss of HiTV cable network and he (2face), actually met R. Kelly in the US before recording the song. One of the reasons people seemed to be debating the authenticity of his claim of a collabo with R.Kelly is because the beat of the said song has been used by R.Kelly before in one of his songs.While the entire nation seemed to have forgotten the issue, the whole collabo brouhaha came up again when R.Kelly visited Nigeria a few weeks ago. Expectedly, many people were expecting to see Tuface perform with R. Kelly but that didn’t happen. Rumors started flying that Tuface may have lied to Nigerians about having done a duet with R.Kelly.Surprisingly, 2face, who’d featured in past music festival organized by This Day didn’t make the list of the performing artists billed for R.Kelly’s show. An insider disclosed that when R.Kelly was asked if he knows Tuface, he denied him, saying he had never heard the name before. He was said to have listened to the song they were meant to have done together and he laughed over it, insisting that he made the beat a long time ago, and that it must have been tapped on the internet. Though, Tonto Dike's uncultured habit didn't totally thwart the man's effort as we gathered that some of the divas slept at the place that night.
